Ombre with extensions..

If you are wondering if there is a way to ombre your hair WITHOUT damaging your ends... ummm yeah! there is.. using extensions can help u achieve your look with completely frying your hair and.. hey what not add a little length and body to it while u are at it!?

 I used two different colors exts.. 1/2 weft 4/27 and 1/2 18/22 in SEXY extensions or BOHYME my ultimate favorite brand. instead of doing a full ombre h/l and french lacing.. I just put a couple foils in the fringe and around the hairline to blend extensions and cut/texturized to blend layers with extensions:)

Another fUN cOLor ChAngE!!!

Ok so This is my client awesome Sarah!---

We decided we were bored with blonde! I know my blondies LOVE their blonde but Sarah's always down to change it up! 

So first things first..I took out her extensions then we gotta fill her hair before we go darker.. (For those of you who insist that you can do your own hair.. you probably dont know about filler WHICH IS WHY IF YOU HAD BLONDE HAIR AND TRIED TO GO DARK.. YOUR HAIR TURNED GREEN/GREY AND LOOKED LIKE MUD!)

ANYWAY--- so I used Shades EQ to fill her------- woohooo! 

Ok so Heres the tricky part! We're not just doing an all over color which would be super simple. she still wants highlights and lots of dimension in her hair! I went through a couple processes... 

Color correction can be really unpredictable!

SO BE NICE TO YOUR STYLIST WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH A COLOR CHANGE.. BELIEVE ME.. WE WON'T LET YOU LEAVE LOOKING LIKE A HOT MESS!

ALSO--OUR NAMES ARE WALKING AROUND ON YOUR HEAD! We want you to feel gorgeous and we want people ask you about us!

What a Difference!

About 2 months ago I went out for a friends bday and met this girl.. sweetest thing ever! she came to see me at the salon a couple weeks later because she was in dyer need of a color change and eventually extensions! so after her first visit I could already see how much she loved going back to dark! she looked like a completely different person!! I chose to use a warm toner(shades) to fill the blonde first than I used a dark mahogany violet brown so it wouldn't be too flat:)

I have to say one of the best things about doing hair is the work for trade thing... Her boyfriend is a tattoo artist.. so what we decided was I would put in her extensions for trade of tattooing:) yayayaya for me!!!

A couple weeks later she came back for extensions. She was definately ready for some long, hotsex hair! hahaha... after color matching her the week before we were all set! The final product...................

Life Lesson # 1

Alright people... I know how it is to get ansty with your hair (believe me) BUT NEVER TRY TO DO YOUR HAIR YOURSELF! You will F*@K it up!  So here's the story.. one of my best friends lil sister decided to do her own hair... it was black FOREVER and then it was red (which started the shennanigans).  um side note... if you have BLACK hair and want to go lighter... AND YOU DO IT YOURSELF.. THESE PICS WILL BE YOU. so anyway the poor girl had hair halfway down her back.. and was over the red. so she decided to go dark brown. then she could still see the red (duh cause it the hardest color to get out except black) so she decided to put 40 volume bleach on her head! NOOOOO! so it started sizzling... blah blah blah she came to see me at the salon (finally).  After  5 hours of hard crazy labor (and no money cause Im an awesome friend and HAD to proj out on her head) she came out looking amazing but the condition of her hair was sooooo fragile! I couldnt even put color on her hair because it would literally fall off.... I went through her whole head and picked out the pieces that were dark and foiled them with 30v lightener and 20v lightener on the orangy/ red parts...  I even out her color using toner.. with the cute cut she was a WHOLE NEW WOMAN! yayyyyyyayayayay!
